CNAME
Question
What is a CNAME used for?
Answer
A CNAME record is used to specify that one domain name is an alias of another. This is most commonly used when running multiple services such as an FTP server and a webserver from a single IP address. Using a CNAME record each service can have its own entry in DNS (like ftp.example.com and www.example.com).
